The Northeast Kingdom Music Festival is a fantastic weekend of world music in the rolling hills of Vermont. The diverse acts ranging from Bread and Puppet Theatre to fire dancers to performers of all musical genres makes this event one of a kind. Where else can you listen to bluegrass, reggae, rap, and punk at the same show? To add to the appeal, the festival is geared towards families and progressive value organizations. The only problem was that no one knew about the festival. Our role was to recruit socially and ecologically responsible businesses to sponsor and promote the event. We also recruited non-profits to participate. Finally, we strategized the publicity so the event would make a profit. We saw real results with the best crowd yet!
